Tasks Plans, implements and tests security systems. Prepares security standards, policies, and procedures. Plans security systems by evaluating network and security technologies. Adheres to industry standards on-prem, remote (DR), and cloud environments. Enhances security team accomplishments and competence by planning delivery of solutions. Answers technical and procedural questions. Teaches improved processes. Mentors team members. Defines, operationalizes, and documents the security architecture and assessment function, Elevates the security engineering team through mentoring and knowledge transfer. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required: Excellent verbal and written communication skills Critical thinking skills and the ability to problem solve Strong organizational skills including attention to detail Candidate must be a self-starting team player, able to manage multiple assignments at one time Skills Required Experience as a Sr. Security Architect. Experience planning, implementing and testing security systems. Experience developing requirements for local area networks (LANs), wide area networks (WANs), virtual private networks (VPNs), routers, firewalls, and related security and network devices. Experience designing public key infrastructures (PKIs), including use of certification authorities (CAs) and digital signatures as well as hardware and software. Experience developing, standardizing and documenting reference architectures; specifically, zero trust architecture. Experience determining and applying appropriate controls and criteria for security architecture reviews.
