Role: Network Support Engineer (CCIE) Location: NYC, NY (only Locals) Duration: Contract Experience: 12+ years Visa: Only H1B with Passport Number Role Description: Responsibilities Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve advanced network issues, ensuring optimal performance and uptime. Analyze and resolve complex routing and switching challenges in enterprise environments. Configure, implement, and maintain Cisco network infrastructure, including routers, switches, and related hardware. Provide Level 3/4 technical support for network incidents and escalations. Perform root cause analysis (RCA) and propose preventative measures for recurring issues. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support network-related changes, upgrades, and deployments. Implement and manage high-availability solutions, disaster recovery plans, and failover scenarios. Optimize network performance through capacity planning, tuning, and best practice implementations. Document network architectures, configurations, and operational procedures. Stay up-to-date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and Cisco solutions to enhance network operations. Qualifications Certification: Active CCIE (Routing and Switching) certification is mandatory. Experience: 7+ years of experience in network engineering or operations support roles, with at least 3 years in advanced troubleshooting and escalation roles. Technical Skills: In-depth knowledge of routing protocols (BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, RIP) and switching technologies (VLAN, STP, EtherChannel). Proficiency in Cisco IOS, IOS-XE, and NX-OS platforms. Experience with QoS, multicast, VPN technologies, and MPLS. Familiarity with network automation tools (Python, Ansible) and monitoring tools (SolarWinds, Nagios). Soft Skills: Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills with a focus on customer satisfaction. Other: Availability for on-call support and flexibility to handle critical incidents outside regular working hours.
