Role: Power BI Developer Location: Tampa, FL (only Locals) Duration: Contract Experience: 10+ years Visa : Only H1B with Passport number Role Description: Key Responsibilities: Design and develop visually compelling dashboards and reports using Power BI to provide actionable insights. Create and optimize data models, relationships, and calculated measures to enhance report performance. Build and maintain reusable templates and standard visualizations for consistent reporting across teams. Connect to multiple data sources (SQL, Excel, APIs, etc.) and integrate them into Power BI. Perform ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes using Power Query to clean and transform raw data for reporting. Collaborate with data engineers to ensure data pipelines are accurate and efficient. Work closely with business stakeholders to understand reporting requirements and translate them into technical solutions. Provide training and support to end-users to enable self-service reporting capabilities. Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and security in all reports and dashboards. Regularly monitor Power BI dashboards to ensure high availability and performance. Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to Power BI reports or data sources. Stay updated with the latest Power BI features and best practices, recommending upgrades as necessary. Qualifications: Required Skills and Experience: Education: Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Science, or a related field. Experience: 3+ years of experience in developing dashboards and reports with Power BI. Proficiency in DAX (Data Analysis Expressions) and Power Query (M Language). Technical Expertise: Strong knowledge of SQL for querying and data preparation. Experience with data modeling concepts, including star schema and snowflake schema. Familiarity with Power BI Service, including publishing reports and managing workspaces. Understanding of row-level security (RLS) implementation in Power BI. Preferred Skills: Experience with other BI tools (e.g., Tableau, QlikView). Knowledge of Azure Data Factory, Synapse, or other cloud-based data solutions. Understanding of programming languages like Python or R for advanced analytics. Certification in Power BI or Microsoft Data Analytics is a plus.
