Position: Backend ETL Automation Tester Location: 100% remote Job Type: 6 months Contract Possible extension Rate:50$ Hiring Manager Notes: Straight contract role with extensions. Can be 100% remote in EST or CST. Preference for folks who cannot convert but not required. Looking for Backend testers (Minimum of 5-7 years). Those who focus on automated testing (project is centered around Public Data Views - PDV). Migrating from DB2 to MongoDB (the role is making sure this data is moved properly pretty much). MongoDB is a preference, not a requirement... Will be working with large volumes of data (millions) so the resources should have good exp working with large amounts of data. ETL / Backend Testers with extensive exp with SQL who can do complex queries and automation of test cases with Java and Jenkins. (Java is preferred for automation but other automation tools such as Selenium may suffice) They do work in an agile environment. Needs to know how to create user stories and solve defects. Comm skills are a must as the team is large. Degree is required!! Will review requirements and work with Dev teams. May have to do some API testing (plus to have this). Healthcare BG is required!! Should have exp with claims, enrollment, etc... Basically looking for ETL / Backend Testers (strong expertise with doing complex SQL queries) who have good exp automating test cases with Java (preference), Jenkins or Selenium. Interview process: Initial 15 minute interview with HM followed by a technical panel interview where there will be a on the spot SQL quiz during the interview. An Automation Lead from the team will ask some hard automation questions. Job desciption: PURPOSE: Responsible for maintaining, modifying, and executing testing plans, test cases, low-level automated test scripts, and test scenarios. The position will work with testing tools, report on testing metrics, and help to extend the use of technology in testing. In addition, the incumbent must be able to communicate effectively and collaborate with other teams as necessary. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: 40% Work with the Technology team on keying accurate and thorough test plans and test cases with pre-determined results. Executes tests and reviews test data within specified scheduled dates. 35% Accountable for analyzing test and operational problems to report defects to the Technology team. Reports errors through a structured defect tracking process. Communicates weekly with management verbally and via written detail status report regarding potential problems and concerns. 10% Develop and maintain business and technical knowledge through classroom training, testing workshops, reading, and research, etc. Acquire and maintain a working knowledge of testing tools. Expand business knowledge of product benefits, corporate policies, division and department goals and department procedures. 5% Accountable for reviewing and analyzing business and system requirements and specifications for system programs and modules. 5% Coordinates with customers to resolve issues. Verify satisfaction of internal and external customer requests and obtain information to create test data. 5% Participates in project work group meetings (internal/external peer reviews, walk through, status meetings, Software Process Improvement, JAD sessions etc.) Qualifications To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Education Level: Bachelor's Degree Experience: 5 years in functional analysis, testing experience within the software development life cycle and testing methodology. In Lieu of Education In lieu of a Bachelor's degree, an additional 4 years of relevant work experience is required in addition to the required work experience. Preferred Qualifications Knowledge, Skills and Abilities (KSAs) Experience creating test plans, test cases and test scenarios from scratch, Proficient Experience mapping requirements to test requirements, test plans and test cases, Advanced Experience with at least 2 relational database management system (e.g., DB2, Oracle, SQL), Proficient Experience with Back End Testing, specifically with ETL, Advanced Knowledge and understanding of the software development life cycle (SDLC), Proficient Experience with Agile methodology and tools, Advanced Experience with Jira test case repository and defect tracking, Advanced Excellent communication skills verbal and written, Advanced Experience with Automation test case development, Advanced (specifically with Java & Jenkins) Experience with MongoDB is preference Healthcare experience is a MUST API Testing is preferred. -- Keywords: information technology Backend ETL Automation Tester--100% remote [email protected] |
