Onsite work will be at the VRS central office at 1200 East Main Street, Richmond, Virginia 23219 Skill Required / Desired Yrs. required Years of experience Last used Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in developing reports, dashboards, and data visualizations using Power BI Required 5 Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in SQL Server SQL development, including writing complex queries, stored procedures, and performance tuning. Required 5 Experience in writing complex DAX queries. Required 3 Experience with MS SQL Server data modelling and schema design. Required 5 Experience working in an Agile development environment. Required 3 Ability to work independently and as part of a team that includes business and technical stakeholders. Required 5 Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills. Required 5 Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Required 5 Experience in Pensions Benefit Management programs Desired 2 Experience with other BI tools (e.g., Tableau, QlikView) Desired 2 Knowledge of programming languages such as Python or R. Desired 2 Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., Azure, AWS). Nice to have 2 Microsoft Certified: Data Analyst Associate or equivalent Nice to have 1 Other relevant certifications in SQL, Data Analysis and database management Nice to have 1 Team is seeking up to two (2) senior level Power BI/SQL Developers with strong problem solving, organizational, and communication skills. This role will be expected to collaborate with the Data Office, Business, IT and other stakeholders and play an active role in the Data Quality Enhancement initiative. The individual is expected to be a self-starter who is comfortable prioritizing and effectively managing their daily workload.
