This is not a IT person who works in accounting. Major points: Someone coming from Insurance/Property/Casualty is highly preferred Min- 3-5 years experience Person use to Big Data feeds Must have accounting experience and Oracle Fusion GL Personality skills very important Description Job Title Requested Accounting Technical Lead Will candidate work onsite or work from home Work from home - fully remote What is the typical shift hours candidate will work each day 8am-5pm CST Description At least 3-5 years of experience in a senior accounting role. Prepare & approve journal entries in our Oracle Fusion General Ledger. Prepare & approve balance sheet account reconciliations in Blackline. Compile data for external (PwC) and internal audit teams in adherence with QBE control standards. Work with IT to resolve data issues. Provide coaching and oversight of the work performed by off-shore accountants. Complete analytics for assigned balance sheet accounts. Analyze business results and document key drivers for changes in business vs planned or forecasted results. Compile and analyze receivables data. Maintain internal controls and appropriate documentation for processes and desktop procedures. Complete adhoc accounting projects or analysis as assigned by manager. Candidate needs to have excellent excel skills, including pivot tables as they will be going through very large sets of data. Upwards of a million lines possible. Insurance background preferred but not required. PNC, Life or health. PNC is best.
