NOTE: Hybrid Mobile means they do not use IOS App Store or Android App Store...they need someone who has expertise in using a single code base for all mobile and web Individual contributor in Ionic Platform development 90% development/ 10% working with UX Team on FIGMA, mock ups, and user story based dev work What type of development will this contractor be doing (Back end, front end, full stack) and what will they be responsible for developing Full stack (Ionic Framework with Angular), Backend-For-Frontend in AWS, AWS development, Code Reviews, DevOps Will this contractor be testing the application/software they are developing Unit and Integration testing for contributed code; working with QA team as well What programming languages do you want this contractor to have experience with (How many years of experience with each language) Angular 2 to 3 years; Ionic framework a plus The Hartford's Enterprise Mobile team is seeking a highly motivated, detail-oriented, and results-driven Mobile Software Engineer. Successful candidates will demonstrate strong leadership skills and have experience in delivering quality technical solutions as well as setting and executing on a strategic technical vision. We are always innovating and exploring new technologies in this space and the right individual would have to be willing to work outside their comfort zone and pioneer new strategies in this fast-paced environment. In addition, the candidate must have the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment, willingness to understand existing processes and systems, collaborate with integrating application teams, and possess strong interpersonal and communication skills. The candidate should be able to take decisions quickly in consultation with team members and subject matter experts and be able to build relationships and understand the dynamics and critical nature of the business. Responsibilities of the position include: Working with the Product Management, Business Analyst and UX team to refine feature requirements and execute technical solutions. Contribute to and work on code for both Front End and back end development; AWS will be a stretch goal to start.. Execute in an agile framework (Scrum or Kanban). Effectively communicate questions and impediments to the team as needed. Qualifications: 2+ years of programming/systems analysis and 1+ years of experience executing in an Agile framework (Scrum/Kanban/SAFe) Bachelor s Degree Required Experience with working on a Mobile Application. Ionic Hybrid is preferred, but Native applications will also be considered. Angular, JavaScript/TypeScript are foundational to this position. Exposure to testing frameworks and methodology a plus. Familiarity with GIT and GitHub Flow are essential; experience with Figma and Design Tokens is preferred.
