Role: Lead QA Analyst Location: Remote but may be asked to come onsite for important meetings, periodically. Expenses will be covered, if so. **EST work schedule. Ideally seeking candidates who live in the EST or CST zones. No PST candidates, please. Term: 1 year+ Lead QA Analyst Position Description We are seeking two (2) Lead QA Analysts to join our team. Summary: The selected candidates will serve as Lead QA Analysts to assist in the following: Develop and execute formal UAT test scripts and plans. Track and confirm testing activities and progress. Collect and analyze data for software process evaluation and improvements, integrating them into business processes. Define and track quality assurance metrics such as defects, defect counts, test results and test status. Lead the Testing Error Triage Team. Serve as the primary point of contact with the Florida PALM Project team for reporting progress, discussing testing issues, ensuring coordination of agency efforts with the overall UAT timeline. Duties and Responsibilities: Serve in a leadership capacity as the Readiness Projects UAT Coordinator for the CCN, while collaborating across divisions/offices throughout the Department to provide UAT guidance. Take day-to-day direction from the Departments Contract Manager or delegate and work with Client Readiness Project team members to support all activities related to the Florida PALM Project implementation efforts and UAT activities. Use and share lessons learned and best practices associated with ERP, and Data Warehouse and Business Intelligence implementations that may promote efficiency and help to identify and mitigate potential risks. Act as a subject matter expert in ERP (PeopleSoft), Data Warehouse and/or Business Intelligence by offering solution recommendations and resolving complex challenges identified in the testing of the solution. Assist the Department with its responsibilities as described below. Test Planning and Coordination Business Processes within ERP Resource Assist with the advancement of developing complex, integrated testing plans. Coordinate with business stakeholders to establish readiness for testing, timing, and so on for their business and enterprise systems business process validations. Coordinate and support the development and execution of formal test plans, scripts, and steps enhancing as needed to ensure high-quality software applications that validate each business process can be performed by the business process owners. Review, provide recommendations, and collaborate with the CCN and necessary impacted division/office staff to finalize testing efforts. Provide the consulting expertise needed to develop, execute, and manage the UAT activities for Client Readiness Project in support of Florida PALM Project implementation tasks in accordance with accounting, financial, reporting, grants management and payroll functions. The UAT coordination will be supported by a dedicated staff, who will collaborate closely with the CCN team and external stakeholders to ensure a smooth UAT experience and successful transition and adoption of the new system. Review the major operational responsibilities of the Office of Finance and Budget and other impacted finance divisions to support and help staff create UAT test scripts and templates to identify the data necessary to execute the testing. Execute and monitor the developed test plans once the testing scripts and templates are in place. Discuss, refine, and finalize the UAT plan and test scripts with the CCN using the preliminary materials prepared by the CCN. Once the UAT plan is approved by the CCN the resources will support test execution and coordinate with Florida PALM Project team and the CCN. Additionally, provide close collaboration with the CCN team and external stakeholders will be needed to develop and execute business process scenarios and scripts, gap analysis, and identify agency specific training and functional testing tasks to ensure a smooth transition and successful adoption of the new accounting system. Provide overall UAT coordination support, including facilitating testing of the business processes to ensure they can be successfully performed or managed in Florida PALM, perform Financial Business Process Analysis and Planning of the UAT activities, track and confirm testing results, and assist with UAT scripts or steps. This role will modify and execute the UAT Plan for Client Proper, will lead the Testing Error Triage Team and serve as primary contacts with divisions/offices and Florida PALM Project Team for reporting progress, discussing testing issues, and ensuring coordination of agency efforts with overall UAT timeline. Facilitate meetings, promote teamwork, tracking, and identify agency specific training as requested. Monitor the UAT progress; to include but not limited to, tracking, mitigating, and escalating UAT risks and issues. Use and share lessons learned and best practices associated with the area of ERP management and business process transformation that may promote efficiency and help to identify and mitigate potential risks. Additionally, the Contractor Representative will evaluate agency business process designs and configurations prepared by Florida PALM, and the Department, to identify business process gaps between current and future state processes and assist with knowledge transfer/training activities to the identified parties, as directed by the Departments Agency Liaison or delegate. Assisting the Department with other responsibilities as requested. The UAT Coordinators will be essential in assisting and performing the vital role of coordinating all Department-level UAT activities by working with the CCN to plan and execute all assigned UAT tasks necessary for ensuring a successful transition to Florida PALM. They will coordinate and track various subprojects within the Departments functional and technical activities to ensure the balance of competing needs and the avoidance of silos. The UAT Coordinators will oversee the overall UAT Agency Business Process testing, ensuring that timelines are met. These roles will coordinate and collaborate with the internal project team, external vendors, and stakeholders to ensure effective UAT testing execution. Key responsibilities include UAT, planning, risk management, resource allocation, monitoring, progress, and communication. Complete knowledge transfer and training activities to the identified parties, as directed by the Departments Contract Manager or delegate. Provide overall Client Readiness Project support, which includes: Providing updates to Client Readiness Project status reporting. Coordinating with the Contract Manager/Agency Liaison and other CCN liaisons to develop and update templates for Client Readiness Project use. Facilitating meetings, promoting teamwork, and providing training as requested. Tracking, mitigating, and escalating testing risks and issues. Maintaining tools for the Client Readiness Project teams use. Researching, collecting, evaluating, and refining the data and tools necessary to meet Project goals. Develop and prepare routine Testing Status Reports using a dashboard that can be leveraged for reporting to leadership and interested stakeholders. Provide documentation relating to quality control and assurance processes and techniques for assessing the Departments business process transition readiness. Review Florida PALM Design and Build Segment documentation RW releases to provide design support for the associated transition from FLAIR to Florida PALM. Complete transition services, including facilitating lessons-learned meetings; creating a lessons-learned document related to ERP support services; and providing all the documents, software, software licenses, and other PALM Project artifacts to the Client Readiness Project team as it relates to the work performed under the PO. Required Qualifications: Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or similar. Or equivalent work experience. A minimum of three (3) years of systems development, testing and/or business experience. Experience in test planning, writing test cases/scripts, test case automation and executing formal test plans to ensure the delivery of quality software applications. Experience working on projects of moderate to high complexity within one or more development environments. Experience working on multiple programs/systems as a project team member. Experience defining and tracking quality assurance metrics such as defects, defect counts, test results and test status. Experience collecting and analyzing data for software process evaluation and improvements and integrating them into business processes to address needs of the business. Experience documenting problems and assisting in their resolution. Experience in providing quality process training to technical staff and acting as an internal quality consultant to advise or influence business or technical partners. Experience performing quality audits across various IT functions to ensure quality standards, procedures and methodologies are being followed. Experience developing complex testing plans for large IT projects that consider all integration partners, interfaces, business processes, and so forth. Experience coordinating and managing tracking of completion of test activities for large complex IT projects, with both internal and external integration partners. Must be able to work with a wide variety of customers to ensure testing objectives are met accurately and on-time. Must have strong organizational skills. Preferred Qualifications: Experience managing and mentoring supervisors, project leads and/or technical staff. Experience interacting with functional groups within the IT organization to communicate and clarify customer requirements. Experience working under general direction of senior level management. Experience working with the State or with other governments similar in size in terms of annual budget and full-time equivalent (FTE) employee count. Experience in the use of Microsoft Office suite, SharePoint, Visio and MS Project. Experience implementing PeopleSoft Knowledge of PeopleTools 8.59+ and fluid page development. Experience using PeopleSoft Financials, Human Capital Management (HCM), and associated Business Intelligence Reporting Solutions and ADW. Two (2) to five (5) years experience coordinating and planning complex business process testing activities for a large ERP implementation. Two (2) to five (5) years experience conducting testing (e.g., automated, manual, integration, and so forth). Knowledge and/or experience with the Florida Accounting Information Resource (FLAIR) subsystem.
