Job Title: Azure Cloud Solution Architect Location: Remote Duration: 6+ Months Interview: Video Must have LinkedIn Notes: MUST HAVE previous life sciences industry experience Job Description: We are seeking an experienced Cloud Solution Architect to drive the scaling and automation of our established Azure-based Unified Data Platform across multiple business domains. The focus of this role will be on developing domain-specific implementations, advancing platform automation, and establishing comprehensive governance and operating models for scale. Primary Responsibilities Design and implement domain-specific infrastructure patterns for Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Finance, and other business units leveraging our unified data platform Develop advanced automation frameworks to transform our platform towards autonomous operations, reducing manual interventions in provisioning and management Establish and implement comprehensive governance models for multi-domain platform usage, including: Resource allocation frameworks Usage monitoring and reporting Cost allocation models Performance benchmarking Security and compliance standards Create and maintain infrastructure templates and deployment patterns that can be easily adapted for different domain requirements Design and implement advanced monitoring solutions for cross-domain resource usage, performance metrics, and cost attribution Develop and maintain cloud consumption models that optimize resource utilization across domains while ensuring fair allocation Automate routine operational tasks and implement self-service capabilities for domain teams Build comprehensive documentation and playbooks for domain onboarding and platform usage Required Technical Skills 8+ years of experience in cloud architecture, with at least 5 years focused on Azure Deep expertise in: Infrastructure automation and templating Azure Resource Manager (ARM) and Terraform Azure Policy and Governance frameworks Azure Cost Management and FinOps Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS) operations at scale ADLS operations and management at scale Strong experience with: Multi-tenant architecture patterns Domain-driven infrastructure design Infrastructure monitoring and analytics Cloud resource optimization Practical knowledge of modern data platforms including Snowflake, dbt, Fivetran, and Dataiku etc Essential Knowledge Areas Platform automation and self-service architecture Multi-domain governance frameworks Cloud resource optimization strategies Usage-based cost allocation models Infrastructure templating and standardization Performance monitoring and optimization Security in multi-tenant environments Desired Experience Implementation of domain-specific cloud infrastructure patterns Development of self-service platform capabilities Creation of automated provisioning systems Design of usage-based chargeback models Implementation of multi-tenant monitoring solutions Development of infrastructure governance frameworks Experience with data platform operations Key Competencies Strong technical leadership with focus on automation and scalability Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities Ability to understand domain-specific requirements and translate them into technical solutions Experience in developing governance frameworks and operating models Strong stakeholder management and communication skills Proven ability to drive technical standardization across diverse teams Qualifications Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related Relevant Azure certifications (e.g., Azure Solutions Architect Expert) Experience in enterprise-scale platform architecture The ideal candidate will focus on transforming client's established data platform infrastructure into a fully automated, self-service capable system that can efficiently serve multiple business domains while maintaining optimal performance, cost-effectiveness, and security standards.
