Title: Testing Specialist Location: Columbus, OH Duration: 12 Months only Local profiles for this this position We are seeking an experienced and skilled Testing Specialist to join the team for a Teradata to Snowflake migration project. This role is essential for ensuring the successful migration and seamless integration of data between Teradata and Client platforms, through rigorous testing and validation. Key Responsibilities : Execute comprehensive testing activities for the Teradata to Snowflake migration project, including Unit Testing, System Integration Testing (SIT), and User Acceptance Testing (UAT). Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate data migration, validation, and seamless execution of end-to-end data workflows. Develop, maintain, and execute SQL queries to validate data integrity and transformation during the migration process. Use data migration tools to support testing processes and monitor data consistency across the migration phases. Understand data models, data structures, and data mapping techniques to verify the correctness of data in both Teradata and Client environments. Troubleshoot workflows, logs, and common errors, diagnosing issues and providing timely resolutions to ensure smooth data migration. Ensure all migration testing processes adhere to best practices, compliance standards, and project timelines. Collaborate with business and technical teams to document and communicate test results, ensuring transparency and alignment with business goals. Required Skills and Experience : Minimum of 5 years of experience in testing migration projects, with hands-on experience in Unit Testing, SIT, and UAT. Strong proficiency in SQL with experience working with database services, specifically Teradata and Client. Deep understanding of data models, data mapping, and the complexities of data migration. Experience with data migration tools and techniques, ensuring accurate and efficient data transfers. Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to self-diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve errors in workflows, logs, and data processes. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to collaborate with both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team, managing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
