Designs and reviews program requirements; creates technical requirements; and develops and implements applications for user departments. Employs industry-standard processes to test and implement secure, defect-free, high quality software applications that meet system load, system performance and system reliability requirements. Functions as a technical expert in the design, development, implementation and maintenance of computer applications for client-based business systems. Assumes responsibility for multiple projects as directed. Effectively communicates with management, project leaders and business analysts as it relates to area of assignment. Performs other duties as assigned. REQUIRED DEGREE Possession of a High School diploma or General Education Development (GED) certificate OR Graduation from an accredited college or university with a Bachelors Degree REQUIRED CERTIFICATION(S) REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE Candidates ACTUAL Years of Experience Full-time work experience developing solutions within the IBM Mainframe (zSeries) Development Environment using SAS, COBOL, JCL and VSAM with a HS Diploma or GED 6 Full-time work experience developing solutions within the IBM Mainframe (zSeries) Development Environment using SAS, COBOL, JCL and VSAM with a bachelor's degree. 2 Preferred experience developing solutions within the IBM Mainframe (zSeries) Development Environment using CICS, IMS and DB2. 1 ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENT REFERENCES Two (2) references of submitted candidates required.
