Job Title: Imaging Simulation Development Engineer V Duration: 12 months (On-site) Location: Sunnyvale, CA, 94089 Experience: 10+ Visa Status: Any Must-Have HARD Skills: Image processing algorithm and pipeline development experience Python/MATLAB/C++ programming, scripting skills Optics design with Synopsys Code V optical design software Understanding of subjective and objective image quality evaluation metric and testing procedure. Degrees/Certifications Required: Bachelors required, Master or PhD preferred. Responsibilities: Develop, validate, and execute state-of-the-art imaging software simulation tools to enable novel camera HW explorations, machine learning dataset generation, and product architecture tasks for consumer products. Investigate latest imaging simulation methods (e.g. ISET, ZEMAX, non-sequential ray tracing) to enable realistic simulation of real camera behavior for architecture, algorithms, and image quality development for consumer mobile products. Experiment and data collection to validate simulator accuracy and to improve simulator modeling capability and efficiency. Build and bring up lab setups for image data acquisition of camera prototypes to support camera design studies. Operate, calibrate, and perform routine maintenance of lab equipment. Develop and document camera test methodologies to support 2D/3D camera system performance analysis. Develop and debug test scripts for image data collection automation. Processing, analysis and organizing measurement data; presentation of initial analysis. Drive supplier interaction and management to deliver camera prototypes in support of concept demonstrations. Key Projects/Day-to-Day Responsibilities: Building a software simulator to simulate hardware before its available, applicable to all products with cameras. Collaborate with camera architects and XFN teams such as systems, optics, algorithm development and IQ team, to execute, validate and improve camera simulation for purposes like architecture validation and component down selection. -- Thanks & Regards Srivalli.
