What you'll be doing Identifying and assessing the impact of problems across large vehicle populations, leveraging data mining, predictive modeling, simulation, and visualization techniques to optimize internal performance. Performing hands-on analysis, designing search patterns, developing mining automation, and executing data reduction. Mentoring others to develop their analytical skills within the organization. Maintaining up-to-date knowledge in software and hardware products or services, trends, and identifying the best solutions to meet business requirements. Establishing strong working relationships with peer teams to review requirements/problem areas and determine the appropriate statistical techniques to apply on available data. Driving the collection of new data and refining existing data sources. Developing best practices for instrumentation and experimentation and communicating those to peer teams. Supporting Complex Event Processing and Real-Time Event Processing in the context of Big Data. Acting as the subject matter expert for Data Analytics as it pertains to both Predictive and Prescriptive analysis and ensuring alignment with industry best practices. The right person has At least 4 years of experience using data to solve problems, answer questions, and create visualizations. At least 4 years of experience in data quality analysis and data architecture. At least 4 years of professional development experience. At least 4 years of experience in Big Data technologies in Hadoop/Hive/Spark platform using Python/Scala. A Masters degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Operations Research, Economics, Physics, Computer Science or other STEM fields is preferred but a Bachelors Degree will be considered. Additional Information Must have 8+ years of experience, new graduates will not be considered. Must be local to Michigan as occasional on-site collaboration may be required. Video interviews will be conducted, and resumes will be reviewed as they are submitted. Experience in the auto industry is preferred but not required.
