Sr. Automation Developer Woodlands Houston , TX Location: New Orleans (preferred); Woodlands, TX; Little Rock, AR; Jackson, MS Job Summary/Purpose The Automation Developer will provide technical support and development expertise in support of IT Transformation and Entergys enterprise-wide Artificial Intelligence and Automation programs utilizing RPA, Low Code, and traditional software development technologies. Job Duties/Responsibilities Research resolution of technical issues encountered during the process of development. Full stack development using technologies such as .NET and GitHub. Advanced Excel skills and experience with Excel Automations. Build and Maintain software integrations utilizing APIs, screen cloning, database integrations, etc. Mentoring, training, and coaching other developers. Capability to understand and learn new programming languages, frameworks, and concepts. Utilize databases such as SQL and Access for development tasks Provide training (1-on-1, video) for developers of various organizations including new updates as needed (inclusive of defining and communicating best practices and standards) Development of solutions to streamline processes and support the development of automations in response to business needs User Administration: provisioning of credentials, roles, licenses, and development environment (VDIs) Submitting tickets through ServiceNow (SNOW) requesting access to the systems, software, network resources needed by the developer in creation of their bots. Ensure development, test, and production execution environments are online and report execution errors to developers for remediation/correction. Perform monitored runs in development, test, and production environments to ensure that bots execute properly in all environments. Perform code reviews to ensure that bots comply with the standards and best practices developed and communicated by the COE team. Provide feedback to developers through code reviews for purposes of enhancing code reliability & adherence to coding standards. Generate data, reports and statistics in support of Artificial Intelligence and Automation programs. Minimum Requirements Minimum education required of the position A bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field; or equivalent experience Minimum experience required of the position 10+ years of experience within the IT industry 5+ years of end to end SDLC experience (i.e., from Requirement Gathering to Deployment following Agile Methodology) and advanced automation development standards (ex. creation of Technical Design documents) 2+ years of work experience in in automation technologies (e.g. Automation Anywhere, Blue Prism, Power Platform, etc.). Preferred: Automation Anywhere, Power Platform Preferred knowledge, skills and abilities required of the position Programming Languages: .NET Core C# JavaScript and libraries like jQuery and React Python Automation Tools: Automation Anywhere (or equivalent RPA tool) Microsoft Power Platform (or equivalent Low Code tool) Experience with mentoring, Training, and Coaching developers Knowledge of databases and servers (ex. MS SQL Server, IIS) Proficiency with source control systems (ex. Git) Understanding of CI/CD pipelines Familiarity with creating standards and best practices Experience with Artificial Intelligence & Machine Learning Knowledge of AWS services (ex. AWS Lambda, AWS Elastic Beanstalk) Self-motivated individual with a strong ability to work independently while driving results Proven track record of being a self-starter, with excellent organizational and time-management skills.
