Role: System Development Engineer Evaluate, select, and integrate sensors such as overhang sensors, overheight sensors, vision systems, and force/torque sensors to enhance system robustness and performance Integrate with new drives/motors, new devices like scanners, vacuum suction module, Develop controls code utilizing structured text and ladder-logic on Codesys and RSLogix 5000 platforms Conduct risk assessments for robotic systems, identifying potential hazards and implementing appropriate safeguards in compliance with relevant safety standards. Identify and build infrastructure to configure devices, extract various diagnostics and troubleshooting information and surfacing them as appropriate alarms for end users. Develop test plans and perform system testing and validation to ensure the device integration and safety functions are built appropriately. Work with cross-functional teams-including hardware engineers, software developers, and operations personnel-to develop integrated solutions and provide technical guidance to junior engineers.
