(Not Network Engineer, we need Admin type profiles) Job title: Core Network Administrator Location: Poughkeepsie, NY ASAP start once BGV clears Project Duration: 1 year + Rate: $60/hr on C2C Job Summary: We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Network Administrator with 3 to 7 years of experience to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Core Network, Core Network - Wireless, and Cisco Voice Network Infrastructure. Required Skills: Cisco Voice Network Infra, Core Network - Wireless, Core Network Responsibilities: 1. Documentation and Policies: Provide current design and architecture documents. Develop and maintain policies for security vulnerability management. 2. Network Monitoring and Management: Monitor performance and faults of LAN/WLAN/WAN devices. Plan and implement configuration changes and manage incidents on LAN/WLAN/WAN devices. Provide recommendations to improve network performance, including managing network performance with QoS. Coordinate with network service providers or third-party vendors to dispatch field technicians for device repairs or replacements. 3. Traffic and Congestion Management: Manage network traffic and congestion. Address WiFi client disconnection issues and identify RADIUS authentication issues. Update IOS on access points through WLC. 4. Problem and Patch Management: Manage repetitive faults in data centers. Execute approved remediation plans in response to intrusions. Perform local backups and periodic restoration testing. Review and document the impact of patches relevant to the IT environment. Review asset hardening reports and provide summaries of proposed actions. Patch network devices (routers, switches, etc.) and handle emergency patching. 5. Capacity Planning and SOPs: Conduct capacity planning and provide suggestions. Create and update Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). Develop and maintain Knowledgebase (KB) articles, ensuring they are current. 6. Vulnerability and Risk Management: Approve the scope, date, and time of vulnerability scans. Define, approve, and review the risk rating of intrusion prevention measures and remediation plans. 7. Load Balancer Management: Manage, administer, and maintain load balancers. Ensure high availability and reliability by directing requests only to online servers/applications. Efficiently distribute client requests or network load across multiple servers/applications. Add or remove servers/applications to the load balancer configuration as needed. Monitor load balancer health.
