Understands what design thinking is and has applied it (portfolio demonstrates this) -Confident personality to defend UX work with the dev team and influence design decisions (be consultative, not an order taker). -Individual contributor and participates in UX workshops, influencing design decisions (recommending best design solution) -Must be proficient in Figma, Sketch and/or Adobe XD (Figma is what they use) -Works well in ambiguity and unstructured environment (self starter, can work collaboratively with Product and Dev as well as be the sole designer on their project) -Strong in clarifying requirements, information architecture, wireframing, sketching and low fidelity prototyping to get devs thoughts and buy in before creating hi fidelity interactive prototype, create mockups (they dont have production / visual designers the UX designers do it all), create flows, etc. -Omni channel experience across multiple channels (Agent experience, mobile, .com, customer care center. Ex. Retail has in-store, .com and mobile) -Customer facing sales/eCommerce exp ideal -Knowledge of Design thinking or Human Design thinking -Must have experience leading UX workshops, presenting designs and recommending the best design (consultative)- those with agency experience tend to have consultative approach, but would like someone that has worked on the corporate UX side (client side) too -Works well in environments with ambiguity/lack of structure -Some kind of formal UX education or completed courses (not just a graphic designer or web designer that moved into UX) -Adjunct professor of General Assembly User Experience Design Immersive is a plus. Completion of General Assembly or IDEO courses are a plus -Worked in a UX Center of Excellence is a plus Responsibilities: a. Designs and builds digital elements and experiences using a variety of software applications, techniques, and tools. b. Designs and develops high-quality user interface features, with Deliverables: including information architecture, prototypes, mock-ups, wireframes, screen flows, and other artifacts for specific projects. c. Implement, support and contribute to design guidelines and specifications that incorporate user research and design standards. d. Suggests product and process improvements and collaborates to achieve quality solutions. e. Applies human-centered design principles while working with the omni-channel team. f. Exercises good judgment to support the organizations strategies and goals relative to the Customer Experience.
