This person must be able to code. -Looking for someone with the AWS Bluage certification -Looking for someone who has used Bluage to do cobol to java migrations, specifically. -They would be the first team member of a new team. -Substantive experience using AWS Q to do migrations would be a huge bonus! -------------------- About the Role We are seeking a skilled Mainframe Migration Specialist with expertise in AWS and Blu Age tools to lead and execute mainframe modernization initiatives. This role will focus on migrating legacy mainframe applications and workloads to cloud-based solutions, leveraging AWS services and Blu Age technologies. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in mainframe systems, cloud architectures, and a deep understanding of migration strategies and tools. Required Qualifications: Experience: Minimum 3 years of experience in mainframe systems, with a strong focus on modernization and migration projects. AWS Expertise: Hands-on experience with AWS services and best practices for cloud migrations. AWS certifications (e.g., Solutions Architect, DevOps Engineer) are a plus. Blue Age Proficiency: Proven experience using Blu Age tools for mainframe code conversion and migration. Technical Skills: o Deep understanding of COBOL, JCL, and other mainframe programming languages. o Knowledge of relational and non-relational database systems (e.g., DB2, SQL, DynamoDB). o Experience with DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines in AWS environments.
