Someone who has Application Architect experience coming from a senior developer background will be ideal for this role. Can you please provide a summary of the project/initiatives which describes whats being done The resource will join WCIB Architecture Team which provides horizontal support to Business lines across WCIB. This specific role will be aligned with our Global Corporate Trust (GCT) business. There are two primary initiatives which this role will be part of: Replatforming an old legacy Core application of our CLO business a greenfield application/platform based on .NET tech stack which will be developed natively in Azure Intelligent Document Processing and Automation - Since GCT is a document intensive business, there is an increasing need to utilize AI/Client and introduce automation utilizing cutting edge technologies in AI/Client space as well as Azure services. * Bank is looking for a motivated and experienced technical leader to be a key player in changing how we deliver technology for our Wealth Management & Investment Services business. This person will join a team of architects and have a direct and far-reaching impact on Cloud adoption and migration, technology modernization, and Agile/DevOps maturity in addition to working with modern distributed technologies. The role requires working across a broad spectrum of technology and business partners to deliver a portfolio of products for our customers. Responsibilities: Self-starter who can pick up new technologies/skills, be comfortable with ambiguity, and drive initiatives forward. Who can collaborate with development and enterprise teams and work independently with minimal support from the lead architect. Identify end-to-end solutions, leverage best practices, and patterns. Create Proof of Concepts, apply existing technologies in new ways, prove out new approaches and technologies. Design application architecture and assist development teams in implementing architecture and design patterns. Provides technical governance and guidance in partnership with application development teams. Researches, models, and integrates business and technology architectures to align with business strategy, goals, and objectives. Consults on a wide spectrum of existing and emerging technologies. Review high-risk technology projects for compatibility with IT standards and strategic direction. Drive portfolio initiatives around technology simplification, resilience, stability. Basic Qualifications Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience. At least 5 years of experience with the concepts, philosophies, and tools behind the design of applications, information, and underlying information technologies. At least 10 years of experience in developing and implementing applications and end-to-end solutions. Preferred Skills/Experience Solution and Application Architecture role (4+ years) coming from an Application/Solution/Technology Architect background. Very strong Interpersonal skills with excellent verbal and written communication. Collaborative style with an ability to achieve consensus. Proven technical leader. Design of an applications code base, layering, componentization, and framework selection a plus. End-to-end system solutioning/exposure...Security, Performance, Availability, Scalability. Information Security and Financial Services domain knowledge a plus. Hands-on experience with application architecture, design and development. Must-Have Tech Skills: 3+ years of Microsoft Azure experience. MS .NET, REST, Microservices, Kubernetes, Docker. RDBMS such as Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle RDBMS, and NoSQL such as MongoDB. Large/complex datasets, data modeling, and performance tuning. T-SQL, Indexed Views, Stored Procedures, and Functions. Proven track record with CI/CD, Agile/DevOps, and Test Automation. MS Azure Containers (Docker/K8s/AKS). Event-driven architecture and development. Streaming solutions using Kafka.
