Lead Terraform Engineer Dallas TX Job Description As a Lead Terraform Engineer specializing in Terraform , you will play a pivotal role in our IT infrastructure and operations team. You will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining infrastructure as code using Terraform , while collaborating closely with development and operations teams to streamline processes and enhance system reliability. Roles and Responsibilities Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Develop, maintain, and optimize infrastructure code using Terraform to provision and manage cloud resources- AKS Automation: Design and implement automation scripts and processes for provisioning, configuration, and deployment of infrastructure and applications. Collaboration: Work closely with software development and operations teams to understand their requirements and ensure seamless integration of infrastructure changes. Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD): Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines to automate software deployments and releases. Monitoring and Logging: Set up and manage monitoring, logging, and alerting systems to proactively identify and address issues. Security: Ensure the security of infrastructure by implementing best practices and staying updated on security vulnerabilities and threats. Performance Optimization: Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks and ensure high availability of systems. Documentation: Maintain detailed documentation of infrastructure configurations and processes. Qualification Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent work experience). 7+ years of hands-on experience in DevOps, with a strong emphasis on Terraform . Proven experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure). Azure will be preferred . Proficiency in scripting and automation using languages such as Bash, Python, or Power. Familiarity with containerization technologies like Docker and orchestration with Kubernetes is a plus . Knowledge of infrastructure monitoring and logging tools (e.g., Prometheus, ELK Stack). Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment. Excellent communication skills to interact with cross-functional teams and stakeholders. Relevant certifications are a plus.
