Extend and enhance an existing complex software system. Update and enhance APIs and SQL Databases. Use standard methodologies for building Software as a Medical Device (SaMD) technologies under Design Control procedures. Translate requirements into application features and document architecture and design decisions. Design, develop, and debug software for complex, multi-process systems. Implement client-side, server-side, and database software. Design and implement interfaces for data exchange with other systems. Analyze and evaluate new technologies, recommending improvements to existing products. Required: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field. Minimum of 5 years of hands-on software development experience. Proficiency in C# (.NET Framework, .NET Core, .NET 6+). Hands-on experience with machine learning model development, deployment, and lifecycle management. Extensive application debugging/troubleshooting with Visual Studio. Familiarity with Microsoft SQL, Web API development, and UI development with WPF. Experience with cross-functional new product development teams. Effective communication skills for conveying critical design/project information to customers. Familiarity with high-quality software practices (test-driven development, documentation, software review processes, and cross-platform support) is a plus. Preferred: .net 8 Cross platform experience Ability to work independently and understand existing code/systems with minimal ramp-up time. Experience with AWS or Azure Cloud. Software development experience for medical devices. Proficiency in Python and/or JavaScript. Experience with Xamarin, Obj-C, or Swift for iOS development. Familiarity with FDA QSR/ISO9000 design control regulations. Experience in conceptualizing, designing, implementing, and testing small to medium engineering software applications. Experience with SaMD development. Documentation skills in a highly regulated industry. Knowledge of secure development practices and security testing. Entity Framework (EF6) code-first approach.
