The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in developing and maintaining microservices architecture and a strong proficiency in API testing using Postman. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement scalable, efficient, and secure backend solutions that power our applications. Key Responsibilities: Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend solutions using Node.js. Build and manage RESTful APIs and microservices to support various frontend applications. Write efficient, reusable, and testable code to ensure high performance and reliability. Develop and implement unit and integration tests for APIs using tools like Postman or equivalent. Collaborate with DevOps to deploy and monitor microservices in cloud environments. Troubleshoot, debug, and optimize existing services to improve performance and reliability. Work closely with product managers, designers, and other developers to translate business requirements into technical specifications. Ensure adherence to best practices in API security and data integrity. Qualifications: Technical Skills: Strong proficiency in JavaScript and Node.js. Solid understanding of microservices architecture and design patterns. Hands-on experience with API development and testing using Postman. Experience with frameworks like Express.js or Fastify. Proficiency in working with relational and NoSQL databases (e.g., MySQL, MongoDB). Familiarity with containerization tools like Docker and orchestration platforms like Kubernetes is a plus. Knowledge of API security practices, including OAuth, JWT, and SSL/TLS. Version control experience with Git. Soft Skills: Excellent problem-solving skills with a strong attention to detail. Strong communication and collaboration abilities in a team setting. Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet project deadlines. Education and Experience: Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent work experience. 2+ years of experience in backend development using Node.js. Proven experience with microservices and API testing in a production environment. Preferred Skills: Familiarity with cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud. Experience with CI/CD pipelines and related tools. Exposure to GraphQL and WebSockets is a bonus.
