You'll play a key role in extending Istios capabilities within Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE), focusing on networking, security, and automation. Qualifications : 3+ years of experience with Kubernetes and GKE. Strong knowledge of Istio (e.g., Envoy, VirtualService, Destination Rule). Proficiency with OpenAPI v3, Helm, and Kubernetes resource validation. Experience with Go or Python for developing custom controllers. Hands-on experience with Kubernetes Operators (Kubebuilder, Operator SDK). Familiarity with GitOps, CI/CD, and cloud platforms like GCP Key Responsibilities: Develop and manage CRDs to extend Istio's functionality for GKE-based applications. Create OpenAPI v3 schemas to validate custom resources. Implement Kubernetes Operators to automate workflows. Collaborate on CI/CD pipelines and integrate GitOps practices. Troubleshoot and optimize GKE environments, ensuring service mesh performance.
