Moving from 6.3 to Viya on the SAS AML application. TECHNICAL SKILLS Must Have Have SAS AML Viya experience, hands on configuration and development Linux background be able to come in to the Madisonville Office Building 5x a week (subject to change) Job Summary Responsible for building outstanding software solutions to drive business success. Build various aspects of the company's infrastructure to enable scalable conversations. Primary Responsibilities Maintain platform uptime, performance, stability, and scalability. Design, guide, mentor, and challenge system architecture and design. Develop and maintain a public API. Build robust and extensible solutions based on feature requests. Work with big data technologies like Kafka, Hadoop, and Spark. Collaborate with Data Scientists to develop value-added features. Partner with DBA to create ETL processes and a Data Warehouse system. Work with Operations to automate solutions and enhance service reliability. Monitor all platform-related production systems closely. Build tools and processes to support analytics, monitoring, machine learning, and data warehousing platforms. Define and implement strategies for subnets, backups, and fog networking/computing configurations and deployments. Provision, configure, maintain, back up, and monitor on-site and cloud-based server resources. Develop and implement deployment strategies for client-facing and internal tool systems. Continuously improve and fine-tune alerting and monitoring systems. Qualifications Experience in software/systems development. Strong background in software development and experience building software systems. Proficiency in at least one programming language: PHP, Ruby, Python, JavaScript, Elixir, Go, or similar. Strong background in Linux administration. Extensive experience with cloud providers such as AWS, Digital Ocean, and Google Cloud. Solid understanding of IT security best practices. Experience with automation/configuration tools (e.g., Puppet, Ansible) and/or orchestration tools (e.g., Docker Swarm, Kubernetes). In-depth understanding of computer networks.
