Job Title: Network/Data Center Engineer Location: Can be 100% Remote ideal if live in Boca Raton, FL (office there) : ONLY LOOKING FOR EAST COAST CANDIDATES Duration: 6 months Interview: Skype/Phone Visa: OPEN TO GC/USC/GCead Candidates Job Description: The ideal candidate will bring extensive experience with Cisco and Client switches, VMware networking, and network monitoring tools, alongside expertise in handling BGP routing, load balancing, and managing legacy equipment like Nexus 48k switches Experience : 7+ years of experience in network engineering, data center management, or a similar role, with a strong focus on monitoring, troubleshooting, and optimizing network infrastructures. Experience with VMware virtual networking , including configuring Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) or higher-level Cisco certifications (e.g., CCNP) is required. Additional certifications in VMware (e.g., VCP) or Network Monitoring tools (e.g., SolarWinds, Nagios) are advantageous. Skills : Strong knowledge of network monitoring tools, configuration management, and performance monitoring systems. Expertise in network routing protocols, particularly BGP, and the configuration of enterprise-grade switches and routers. Hands-on experience with virtualized environments (VMware), virtual networking, and related technologies. Excellent troubleshooting skills in a networked environment with the ability to rapidly diagnose and resolve complex issues. Familiarity with Nginx and other load balancing solutions is a plus. Ability to work independently and manage the lifecycle of both legacy and modern network equipment. Education: Bachelors degree in computer science, Information Technology, Network Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
