Systems Analyst Remote (Austin,TX ) Overview: A public sector client of ours in Austin, Texas is looking for a Systems Analyst for a 6-month remote contract opportunity that is likely to extend. Due to the nature of the role, they are currently only considering remote candidates local or around the Austin area. In this Systems Analyst / Admin role, some duties may include: Server administration tasks, domain/DNS tasks, Administrating user/domain security, and ITIL - ticketing. Providing support for critical TIERS systems, 24x7 on-call rotation is required. Some weekend work is required. Support may require on-premises work at times. Minimum Job Requirements: 8 Years of High-level knowledge and experience of network facilities and data processing techniques, computer hardware and software, network operating systems, security software, and performance monitoring and capacity management tools. 8 Years of extensive knowledge and experience using LDAP/Windows Active Directory, Microsoft SQL Server, and Hypervisor technologies including Hyper-V and VMware. 8 Years experience administering Windows Systems , including Group Policy, Kerberos, NTLM, TCP/IP, WINS, DNS, DHCP, PXE, as well as Linux systems, network administration, IT governance, and security/privacy policies and tools. In-depth knowledge of Active Directory, LDAP, and DN. 8 years Experience supporting technologies such as Ansible, SFTP/FTPS, Kubernetes, and open-source software. Ability to direct and organize work activities effectively. 8 Years of strong problem-solving skills , with the ability to identify issues, analyze alternatives, and recommend/implement effective solutions. 8 Years of hands-on experience supporting Windows and Linux systems on cloud service platforms such as AWS and Azure. 8 Years experience providing server and application support on a 24x7 on-call basis and rotating schedule. Flexibility to perform other tasks and duties as assigned. 8 Years experience with server hardware replacement and upgrades . 8 Years experience with ITIL-based ticketing using Remedy and ServiceNow. Preferred Qualifications: 6+ Years of experience with writing concise written reports appropriate for the audience and communicating effectively both verbally and in writing. 6 Years ability to plan and coordinate server maintenance activities with TIERS Data Center Contractors and Cloud Service Providers (CSPs), including security patching and other activities related to the TIERS Security Program. May assist with Data Center Maintenance Coordination. 6 Years experience supporting Microsoft SQL Server Enterprise , including the installation and implementation of SQL Server clustered environments. 6 Years experience managing Web Application Firewall (WAF) systems , such as Imperva and/or AWS WAF.
