The ideal candidate will play a critical role in designing and implementing robust, scalable, and secure applications that address fraud detection and payment processing challenges. This position requires a combination of technical expertise, leadership skills, and a deep understanding of financial technologies. Key Responsibilities: Architectural Design: Lead the architectural design and development of Java-based applications focused on fraud detection and payment processing. Define and maintain architectural standards, guidelines, and best practices. Technical Leadership: Provide technical direction to development teams, ensuring adherence to architectural principles and best practices. Mentor and guide junior developers and architects in Java development and design patterns. System Integration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate various systems and services, ensuring seamless data flow and functionality. Design APIs and services that support payment processing and fraud detection initiatives. Fraud Prevention: Leverage knowledge of fraud prevention techniques and tools to design systems that effectively mitigate risk. Stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies related to fraud detection and payment systems. Performance Optimization: Analyze and optimize application performance, scalability, and security. Conduct code reviews and provide constructive feedback to ensure high-quality code delivery. Documentation and Reporting: Create and maintain comprehensive documentation related to architectural designs, deployment processes, and system configurations. Report on project progress and challenges to stakeholders and management. Qualifications: Education: Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Masters degree is a plus. Experience: 8+ years of experience in software development, with at least 3 years in an architectural role. Proven experience with fraud detection systems and payment processing platforms. Technical Skills: Strong proficiency in Java and related frameworks (Spring, Hibernate). Experience with cloud technologies (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud). Familiarity with microservices architecture and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes). Knowledge of database technologies (SQL, NoSQL) and data modeling. Soft Skills: Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with various stakeholders. Proven leadership abilities and experience in managing technical teams. Preferred Qualifications: Experience with machine learning techniques for fraud detection. Knowledge of compliance standards in payment processing (PCI DSS, GDPR).
