Sr. Project Manager Location: Brooklyn, NY - Locals Duration: 6+ months OPEN TO GC/USC they must be local) Interview: Video required PREVIOUS WORK EXPERIENCE IN CON EDISON OR UTILITIES or in CONSTRUCTION or in SUBSTATION IS REQUIRED. JOB DESCRIPTION Plans, organizes and integrates cross-functional information technology projects that are significant in scope and impact. Role Overview: Lead and integrate cross-functional IT projects with significant scope and impact. Manage budgets, team tasks, goal setting, and team planning meetings. Oversee projects within the IT I&O Portfolio, ensuring design specifications and deliverables meet business unit requirements. Key Responsibilities: Budget Management: Oversee project budgets, ensuring financial resources are allocated effectively and projects stay within budget. Team Coordination: Manage work at the team level, establish and track goals, and coordinate team planning meetings. Technical Expertise: Create and read network diagrams, order and install circuits, build and maintain datacenters, and understand cable types, connectors, and CPE. Project Oversight: Provide oversight to projects, ensuring they meet design specifications and deliverables. Tool Proficiency: Utilize tools like Visio and MS Project for project planning and execution. Additional Projects: Complete any additional projects as assigned by the manager. Required Experience: Leadership and Interpersonal Skills: Proven ability to drive results by collaborating with stakeholders and building consensus. Communication Skills: Strong ability to communicate effectively in a collaborative team environment. Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills: Excellent skills in analyzing problems and finding effective solutions. Organizational Skills: Ability to see the big picture while paying attention to detail. Flexibility: Capable of managing multiple assignments with changing priorities, ensuring projects stay on schedule and within budget. Additional Responsibilities: Project Planning and Execution: Define project scope, goals, and deliverables. Develop detailed project plans, including budget, timeline, and resources. Risk Management: Identify and manage project dependencies and critical paths. Mitigate project risks and issues. Team Management: Coordinate and manage the project team and third-party contractors or consultants. Progress Monitoring: Track project milestones and deliverables, making adjustments as necessary to ensure successful project completion. Reporting: Present reports defining project progress, problems, and solutions to senior management. Compliance: Ensure adherence to all company policies and legal regulations. Maintain complete and current project documents.
