Position: Cloud Infrastructure Operations Manager (Onsite) Location: Vegas, NV (Relocation works) Duration : 12+ months Job Description : Technical - Cloud Infrastructure Operations Manager (must be hands on) We are seeking an experienced Cloud Infrastructure Operations Manager to lead a high-performing team of cloud engineers. The ideal candidate will possess a strong technical background in cloud infrastructure, particularly with AWS services, Terraform, and Kubernetes (EKS), along with proven leadership capabilities. This role focuses on driving operational excellence, managing multi-region cloud environments, and ensuring the scalability, reliability, and security of cloud-based systems. Responsibilities Team Leadership Manage and mentor a team of cloud engineers responsible for AWS infrastructure, Terraform, and Kubernetes operations. Foster a collaborative team environment, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and project timelines. Provide technical guidance to team members while facilitating professional growth. Cloud Infrastructure Oversight Lead cloud infrastructure projects, including migrations from AWS CloudFormation to Terraform. Oversee the design, deployment, and management of multi-region AWS environments. Manage Kubernetes clusters (EKS) and ensure robust application performance and scalability. Optimize cloud architecture for cost efficiency and operational excellence. Operational Management Develop and enforce operational standards, procedures, and best practices for cloud infrastructure. Ensure the implementation of advanced monitoring systems, including Prometheus, Grafana, and AWS CloudWatch Logs Insights. Direct the resolution of complex infrastructure issues, driving root cause analysis and long-term fixes. Collaboration & Strategy Collaborate with senior leadership to align cloud infrastructure strategy with business objectives. Act as the primary point of contact for cross-functional teams requiring cloud infrastructure support. Develop and report on key operational metrics to stakeholders. Qualifications 7+ years of experience in cloud infrastructure, with at least 3+ years in a leadership role. Extensive expertise in AWS services, including EC2, Lambda, RDS, EBS, S3, and EKS. Hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform for cloud environment management. Proven ability to manage Kubernetes clusters (EKS) in production environments. Strong understanding of cloud security best practices and compliance requirements. Familiarity with advanced monitoring tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, AWS CloudWatch Logs). Excellent leadership, organizational, and communication skills. AWS Certified Solutions Architect or equivalent certifications highly preferred. Preferred Skills Experience with Elasticsearch and managing distributed systems at scale. Familiarity with networking protocols for cloud-based systems.
