Perform network assessments and provide recommendations for improving UC performance and reliability. Configure and manage UC devices, such as IP phones, video conferencing systems, and collaboration endpoints. Work with vendors and service providers to ensure optimal UC performance and reliability. Collaborate with other IT teams to integrate UC solutions with other systems, such as Active Directory, Exchange, and various enterprise technologies. Provide technical support and troubleshoot UC issues. Develop and maintain UC documentation, such as network diagrams, device configurations, and troubleshooting procedures. Stay current with new UC technologies and industry trends. Create detailed migration plans outlining timelines, milestones, resource allocation, and rollback procedures. Manage data migration process, ensuring accurate transfer of user data, call logs, and voicemail. Identify potential migration challenges and develop mitigation strategies. Implement and maintain security measures to protect UC solutions from threats such as malware, viruses, and unauthorized access. | Competencies: | Network Routing(WAN Technology), CNS_Network Security_Cisco | Experience (Years): | 6-8 | Essential Skills: | A UC Engineer for Migrations focuses on designing, planning, and executing the transition of an organizations existing Unified Communications (UC) systems to a new platform, typically involving cloud-based solutions, by assessing current infrastructure, developing migration strategies, managing data transfer, and ensuring seamless user experience during the transition process; requiring expertise in UC technologies, network infrastructure, data migration techniques, and project management skills to deliver a successful migration. | Desirable Skills: | Preferred Experience and Attributes Deep understanding of UC technologies:o Expertise in various UC platforms like Cisco Unified Communications Manager (CUCM), Microsoft Teams, Zoom Phone, etc. Networking knowledge:o Familiarity with network infrastructure, including routing protocols, firewalls, and network security concepts. Data migration experience:o Proven ability to manage large-scale data migration projects, including data cleansing and transformation. Project management skills:o Experience in planning, executing, and monitoring complex migration projects. Strong communication skills:o Ability to effectively communicate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Strong problem-solving skills. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.Requirements US Citizen. Must be able to pass a CJIS background check process and other background checks to comply with customers contracts. Complete basic safety and security training to meet the customer requirements.
