This is a Remote position.

Overview:

A public sector client of ours in Austin, Texas is looking for a Software (IAM) Developer for a 6-month remote contract opportunity that is expected to extend. Due to the nature of the role, they are only considering remote candidates who are currently residing in Texas.

The Software (IAM) Developer is responsible for developing software solutions for the agency's single sign-on and security gateway applications, along with the integration of web-based systems. This role focuses on administering and supporting identity and access management (IAM) systems, applications, and configurations. The developer will work with IBM Security Verify Governance (ISVG), IBM Security Verify Access (ISVA), IBM Security Verify Directory (ISVD), and the ISVA Federation module.

The role requires senior-level experience with Java EE (servlet, JSP) and familiarity with CI/CD processes. The developer will collaborate with the project team, customers, product support peers, and management teams, investigating problem areas and preparing and installing solutions based on system specifications and standards.

Key Responsibilities:

Software Development - 
Develop and maintain IAM solutions for single sign-on, security gateways, and the integration of web-based systems using Java EE (servlet, JSP).

System Administration and Support - 
Administer and support identity and access management (IAM) systems, including IBM Security Verify Governance (ISVG), IBM Security Verify Access (ISVA), and IBM Security Verify Directory (ISVD).

Collaboration with Teams - 
Work closely with project teams, customers, product support team peers, and management to implement solutions, troubleshoot issues, and deliver high-quality IAM solutions.

Problem-Solving and Solutions Design - 
Investigate issues within the IAM systems and propose and implement solutions. Design system specifications and standards to improve security measures.

CI/CD Process Integration - 
Participate in continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) processes to streamline software deployment and updates.

System Specifications and Programming - 
Independently perform a variety of complicated tasks, design system specifications, and program IAM solutions to meet business and technical requirements.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

Software Development with Java EE (8+ years) 
Extensive experience in software development using Java EE technologies, including servlets and JSP.

IBM Security Verify Governance (ISVG) (8+ years) 
Strong experience in administering and supporting IBM Security Verify Governance, including configuration and maintenance of the IAM system.

IBM Security Verify Access (ISVA) (8+ years) 
In-depth knowledge and experience with IBM Security Verify Access, including its components and integrations with other IAM solutions.

IBM Security Verify Directory (ISVD) (8+ years) 
Extensive experience working with IBM Security Verify Directory, managing directories, and configuring identity management systems.

Preferred Skills and Qualifications:

Experience Administering and Supporting IAM Systems (5+ years) 
Experience with administering and supporting IAM systems built on IBM software, ensuring secure access and identity management.

Red Hat Linux (5+ years) 
Experience with Red Hat Linux, including system configuration, troubleshooting, and performance monitoring in an enterprise environment.

IBM WebSphere Application Server (IBM WAS) (5+ years)

Familiarity with IBM WebSphere Application Server (WAS) for deploying Java EE applications and managing middleware components.

IBM DB2 (5+ years) 
Experience with IBM DB2 for database management and integration within IAM systems.

Previous State Experience (1+ year, preferred) 
Experience working with state-level IAM systems or government projects is preferred.

Additional Requirements:

Must be able to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to design and implement system solutions.

Ability to work effectively within a collaborative team environment.

Excellent communication skills for interacting with both technical teams and stakeholders.
