Position : Active Directory Architect Location : (100% Remote) Duration : 6+ Months Contract JOB DESCRIPTION.. Responsibilities: Assist with architecture-level changes within the AD environment. Optimize and build DNS architecture across multiple forests/domains. Standardize and streamline GPO operations. Develop and implement scalable AD architecture, including forests, domains, replication, and backup strategies to meet operational and security requirements. Integrate AD with IAM systems such as Okta, Cyber Ark, and other cloud solutions. Develop a comprehensive AD strategy for healthcare applications, providing solutions and workflows for integrations. Oversee AD health, performance, and availability, and monitor for security risks and vulnerabilities. Develop AD forest or domain-level plans and associated risk assessments. Assist with project work related to AD/DNS configuration changes. Establish and manage trust relationships between various domains. Support AD greenfield approaches as needed, aligning with Tenets policies and procedures. Create capacity planning and optimization models. Collaborate with cloud security and Azure teams to devise AD strategies. Develop and implement AD recovery and backup plans. Create and maintain AD workflows, architecture diagrams, SOPs, and standards, ensuring compliance. Manage daily operations and lead a global team. Act as a people leader, working with cross-functional stakeholders to understand requirements and challenges, and suggest solutions. Develop cost models and collaborate with vendors to select tools. Education and Work Experience: 10+ years of work experience. Bachelors/Masters degree or related technology degree. Preferred certifications: PMP, ITIL, Identity Certifications. Additional certifications such as Microsoft, Full Stack Engineering, Platform Engineering, or International Information System Security Certification Consortium are a plus. Specialized Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: Advanced knowledge in AD architecture and infrastructure (LDAP, Directory Replication, group policy, security, schema changes, Domain Controllers management, Patch updates, etc.). Advanced knowledge of DNS, Kerberos, and Windows Authentication, including Single Sign-On and MFA technologies like OKTA. Strong experience in AD migration (ADMT, Quest, Binary tree). Deep understanding of AD forest/domain structure, sites, and replication topology. Expertise in planning and managing OU structures. Strong understanding of GPO configuration and management. Hands-on experience with AD customization and various AD tools. Proficiency in Azure Disk, Azure Resource Monitoring, runbook automation, Azure Resource Manager, Azure Functions, Azure Backup, and Restoration. Experience in configuring and troubleshooting application gateway firewalls, load balancers, VM/Disk encryption, Azure vaults, and network security groups. Knowledge of Active Directory, Azure Active Directory, Azure Traffic Manager, and applying security on different Azure resources and applications. Hands-on experience with Azure Virtual Network Gateway and Express Route. Understanding of cost management, billing, resource utilization, and calculation. Experience in data migration using Database Management Service (DMS) or other tools. Strong experience with Power scripting and other command-line interfaces. Familiarity with ITSM tools like Service Now and JIRA. Understanding of identity tools such as Okta, Ping, Cyber Ark, Sail Point, etc. Knowledge of service orchestration. Strong technical writing and documentation skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Demonstrated customer service-oriented work ethic. Good understanding of DevOps concepts. Flexibility to work in shift timings supporting US business hours.
