Job Title : System Administrator Location: Phoenix, AZ Performs duties as a computer systems administrator, domain administrator, network engineer, and systems advisor to our client. Skills Required: Technical Proficiency: Develop, review, interpret, and proofread comprehensive analytical, statistical, technical, and administrative reports, documents, and manuals. Utilize system testing applications to identify performance, data integrity, communication, and functionality issues, and ensure appropriate system corrections. Develop logical conclusions and implement practical solutions for highly complex security, networking, systems, and user management challenges. Analyze user needs to design effective system modifications and infrastructure to meet identified requirements. Possess expert-level management skills for Cisco, Hewlett-Packard, and Mellanox hardware and configuration solutions. Demonstrate expert-level knowledge, management, architecture, design, and engineering of network hardware and software. System Administration: Maintain digital backups for the Storage Area Network (SAN) production server. Maintain and upgrade domain and file servers as needed. Maintain the SAN, including updates and troubleshooting. Archive and restore case files to and from the tape library as required. Set up new domain users and manage Active Directory. Configure and set up forensic workstations and other hardware. Provide support for Servers, SAN, the Lab Network, and client workstations. Collaboration and Support: Collaborate with multiple workgroups/agencies to assist with network issues and upgrades within the DFL. Track expirations, maintain, and update multiple software, dongles, and user licenses. Install and configure hardware and software according to DPS and DFL standards. Maintain updates for Antivirus Software. Work with Certified Forensic Computer Examiners (CFCEs) to resolve hardware issues, research remediation for hardware/software issues, and assist with hardware purchasing decisions. Project Management & Planning: Plan, initiate, and manage highly technical projects related to networks, information security, cloud configuration, and environment design. Design and implement complex network architectures and systems. Documentation & Communication: Complete comprehensive system and networking documentation and network mapping. Possess strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to testify in court proceedings regarding the integrity of the server and its data. Other: Ability to work independently to accomplish the DFL mission. Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights/weekends as required by DFL needs. This is an onsite position; remote work is not authorized. The working location is in the vicinity of Greenway Rd and the I-17 in Phoenix. Qualifications: Education: A four (4) year degree from an accredited college or university with a major in computer information systems or a related field, and two (2) years of computer administration experience in a computer environment for a large (1,000+ employee) workforce; OR a combination of education and experience which includes a minimum of two (2) years of computer administration experience in a computer environment for a large (1,000+ employee) workforce. Experience: Five years of experience working on comparable projects.
