Job Description - Job Title: Virtualization and Cloud Engineer MOI: Skype Location: Remote Need LinkedIn Key Responsibilities Maintain and support multiple customer environments. Manage case backlog according to internal policies and guidelines. Identify and resolve high-priority issues through crisis management. Provide a customer-first experience through phone and email communications. Collaborate effectively with various teams, including technical engineers, architecture teams, account teams, and project managers. Deliver solutions that lead to the resolution or mitigation of problems with high customer satisfaction. Accept guidance and direction from senior engineers while contributing expertise. Be flexible and customer-facing, with the ability to travel to customer sites when necessary. Act as a technical escalation point for NOC, Level I & II Engineers. Contribute to the development and growth of the technical knowledge base. Coach and mentor NOC, Level I & II Engineers to build team skills and capabilities. Deliver training sessions to NOC, Level I & II Engineers. Perform Escalation Manager duties, handling critical escalations. Review and analyze cases, identify trends, and drive resolutions. Conduct technical reviews of environments transitioning from implementation to support. Deep dive into technical problems and create comprehensive solutions. Understand how technologies work together to view the bigger picture of issues. Manage top-tier customer environments to prevent major issues. Act as the final escalation point for support teams. Be available for on-call support and emergency situations as required. Required Skills & Qualifications Strong technical knowledge of cloud computing, virtualization, IaaS, DRaaS, and related technologies. Proven ability to resolve complex technical issues and provide customer-centric solutions. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. Ability to work well under pressure and manage crisis situations. Experience mentoring and training junior engineers. Ability to collaborate across teams to drive results. Flexibility to travel to customer sites as required. Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills. At least 5 years of experience in a technical support or engineering role, with experience supporting enterprise-level environments. Preferred Skills & Qualifications Experience with cloud infrastructure platforms and virtualization technologies (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V). Previous experience in a senior support or escalation role. Industry certifications in cloud computing, networking, or related fields.
