Option for additional 6 months for a total of 18 months Place of Performance: Remote but will be required to work on-site at WMATAs various locations, specifically: 4100 Garden City Dr, Hyattsville, MD 20785, 300 7th St SW, Washington, DC 20024, 2401 Mill Road, Alexandria, VA 22314. The WMATA manager will work with the Contractor to determine the date/time and place for on-site work Interviews : Interview will be conducted in person, video conference, or by phone using a standardized set of interview questions. The location of the interview will be at any of the three Places of Performance identified above Candidate must have an active and an updated LinkedIn ID (REQUIRED!!) Minimum Requirements: Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Science, or a related field. 5+ experience in data migration projects, specifically from PeopleSoft to a Cloud Based Data Warehouse system. Strong proficiency in SQL for data extraction and manipulation 8+ Experience with ETL tools and data integration techniques. Experience with databases such as ORACLE, SQL Server, SYBASE, INFORMIX, and DB2 Familiarity with data warehousing concepts, data modelling, and reporting tools. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. Strong attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy. Preferred Skills: Experience with cloud-based Data Warehouse solutions (e.g., Oracle FDIP, Snowflake, Amazon Redshift, and Google BigQuery). Relevant certifications in data management or ETL tools are a plus Duties/Responsibilities: Analyse the existing data structures in PeopleSoft and confirm the necessary transformations for Data Warehouse compatibility. Extract data from PeopleSoft using SQL and other relevant tools. Creation of efficient data structures that support reporting and analytics (expertise in dimensional modelling and entity-relationship (ER) modelling) Develop and implement data transformation processes to clean, standardize, and enhance the quality of the data during migration. Create data mapping documents that outline the relationships between source and target data fields. Design and implement ETL processes to load data into the Data Warehouse, ensuring efficient performance and data integrity. Utilize ETL tools for data integration. Validate data accuracy and completeness post-migration to ensure that all data has been successfully transferred. Work closely with business analysts, data architects, and stakeholders to understand data requirements and ensure alignment with business objectives.
