Title: GCP Cloud Solution Engineer Location: Remote We are seeking 2 immediate positions for skilled and experienced GCP Cloud Solution Engineer to design, implement, and maintain cloud-based solutions on the Google Cloud Platform (GCP). The candidate shall have a strong understanding of cloud services, infrastructure automation, and DevOps practices, with expertise in GCP services and solutions. It would be good if the candidate can work based out of Hartford. If they have good experience, remote is fine as well. Create Solution designs for large-scale data structures and pipelines to organize, collecting and standardizing data that helps generate insights and addresses business and reporting needs Provisioning of Tenants, create/manage Cloud Storage buckets/datasets/Service accounts. Experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) using services like BigQuery, Cloud Composer, Dataproc and Dataflow Assist in implementing DevOps practices Working knowledge of orchestration tools, such as Apache Airflow (DAGs) Proficiency in technologies such as Hive, Spark, and Python. Experience with additional data technologies and tools is a plus. Hands-on technologists with coding skills and proficient in modern technology stacks (Cloud, DevOps, Kafka etc.) Optimize data processing and query performance using technologies such as Data Proc, GCS, and Big Query, while ensuring adherence to data governance SLAs. Strong understanding of data governance principles, regulations, and industry best practices, with practical experience in implementing and enforcing data governance frameworks. Solid understanding of data architecture principles and proven experience in designing and developing scalable data systems, while considering data governance requirements. Drive automation initiatives by developing scripts, utilities, and frameworks to streamline data processes, improve efficiency, and enforce data governance practices. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, mentor junior engineers, and foster a culture of data governance and compliance awareness within the team. Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies in data engineering and data governance, evaluate new tools and techniques, and propose innovative solutions to enhance data systems, processes, and governance practices. Excellent problem-solving skills and critical thinking ability Maintain comprehensive documentation of data solutions, processes, best practices, and data governance frameworks, and actively share knowledge with the team. Primary skill set Cloud Platform Expertise - Strong knowledge of Google Cloud Platform (GCP)services like Compute Engine, Kubernetes Engine (GKE), BigQuery, Pub/Sub, Cloud Functions, and Cloud Storage. Infrastructure as Code (IaC) - Proficiency in Terraform Programming & Scripting - Hands-on experience Python DevOps Tools - Familiarity with CI/CD tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD.
