Mechanical Engineer with Data visualization Role Description: Job DescriptionThe product safety team is looking for a Field Safety Engineer with a strong expertise in failure analysis, designing and conducting reliability tests for a variety of products in consumer electronics, and components. This person will support deep dive analysis of products in field. There is a focus on consumer electronics and batteries for this team. Key qualifications and requirements:Bachelors degree in Electronic Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or a related fieldMinimum 5 years experience in engineering, with a strong proficiency in Failure Analysis & Forensics methodsProficient in developing test plans, procedures, and workflowsExperience in consumer electronics, focusing on electrical engineering and battery failure analysis, with proficiency in CT scan and X-ray interpretationStrong communicator; adaptive personality capable of working in a dynamic, fast-paced environmentThrives under pressure and has a high curiosity quotient needed to excel in FA roleStrong MS Excel, Apple Keynote skillsData visualization skills, and the capability to communicate nuances and conclusions effectively (written & verbal)Proficiency and aptitude for Tableau suite of tools a plus Core Responsibilities:Work with other field safety engineers to provide engineering support for safety field returnsConduct root cause failure analysis independently across diverse products and applicationsDevelop mechanical test fixtures and methodologies tailored to specific testing requirementsDevelop and enhance analysis SOP from a long-term perspectiveCreate actionable test plans, ensure technician adherence, and deliver timely resultsAnalyze test data to identify trends, potential failure modes, and areas for product improvementCollaborate with cross-functional teams to validate design concepts and enhance product reliability/safetyConduct device / battery cell tear-downs and gather corresponding documentation and image capturesPrepare comprehensive technical reports detailing test findings, methodologiesCommunicate analysis results and findings using Keynote and data visualization tools (Tableau)Conduct risk assessments for product field returns, identifying potential hazards and developing effective mitigation strategies Competencies: Digital : Data Visualization, EIS : Testing,Inspection And Fault Finding Experience (Years): 8-10 Country: United States Branch | City | Location: TCS - Dallas, TX AUSTIN Austin, TX -- Ashutosh Mishra | Executive Talent Acquisition linkedin.com/in/ashutosh-mishra-allahabadi Teamware Solutions a division of Quantum Leap Consulting Pvt.
