Job Summary: The Division of Information Technology Services is currently seeking a talented individual to fill the role of Technical Program Manager with experience in information security. The ITS Technical Program Manager will be responsible for leading and managing complex IT projects and programs, ensuring their alignment with the universitys strategic goals. This includes overseeing program deliverables, coordinating cross-departmental efforts, and ensuring best practices in project execution. Candidates should have experience in information security and a deep understanding of IT systems and project management methodologies. Minimum Qualifications: Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field; a masters degree is preferred. Professional certifications such as PMP, CISSP, or CISM are desirable. Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in IT program or project management, with some experience in information security. Strong knowledge of project management principles, practices, and technologies. Experience with risk management, compliance, and incident response is a plus. Excellent project management skills, with experience managing multiple projects simultaneously. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders. Knowledge of the higher education environment and its unique challenges is a plus. Knowledge and Skills: Ability to lead and motivate others, demonstrating empathy and knowledge of personality types. Familiarity with project management methodologies (e.g., PMI, PRINCE2, Agile). Demonstrated sensitivity to working in a political environment and interacting with senior leadership. Risk Management and Compliance: Conduct risk assessments and develop strategies to mitigate project and program risks. Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure compliance with relevant security and regulatory requirements. Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with ITS, academic, and administrative departments to align technology solutions with organizational needs. Facilitate effective communication with stakeholders to manage expectations and ensure project success. Information Security Integration: Integrate information security practices and considerations into projects and programs. Support the development and implementation of security policies and procedures within IT programs. 10% - Standards and Reporting Standards and Reporting Establish and maintain standards and procedures for project reporting and documentation.
