Job Title: Tableau Developer Location: Hartford, CT (Onsite) Type: Contract Responsibilities: Design and develop interactive dashboards and reports using Tableau Desktop. Work closely with stakeholders to gather requirements and data to design solutions that best address business questions. Ensure data accuracy and consistency within Tableau visualizations. Extract, transform, and load data from various sources into Tableau for analysis and visualizations. Perform data cleansing and validation to ensure data quality and integrity. Apply analytical thinking and advanced Tableau functions and features like LODs, Filters, Parameters, Actions, Extensions, etc. Write and understand SQL queries for data validation and unit testing. Optimize Tableau reports and dashboards for performance. Design dashboards adhering to Tableau and company best practices. Understand Tableau Server functionalities and manage processes effectively. Automate and maintain reports, schedules, subscriptions/alerts, and publish to Tableau Server with user administration. Document data sources, data models, and Tableau workflows. Required Skills: Expert-level proficiency in Tableau Desktop. Intermediate SQL skills, including custom SQL queries. Knowledgeable in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Desirable Skills: Experience with ETL tools like Tableau Prep or DataIKU.
