Job Title: Senior Design Engineer-Air compressor Job Location: Minneapolis, MN (Onsite) Job Duration: Contract Job Description: Job Role expectations: Onsite Coordinator for multiple design Projects in Air Compressors for HVAC applications. New Product Design & development of Compressors subsystems. (Preferred experience in Rotating Equipment design & development) Design Calculations as per ASME standards. DFMEA, Risk analysis & Mitigation plan as part of new product development. . Tolerance stack-up analysis for complex assemblies Coordinate vendors for Manufacturability check, RFQs & proto development & Testing. Support for Documentation for Certifications (UL/ASME etc.,) Skills Needed: Proficiency with Solidworks Excellent mechanical aptitude and skills. General familiarity with technology commonly used in manufacturing systems. Must be able to develop new equipment from concept through launch. Creative ability to conceptualize early on in a project Basic knowledge of machining practices and how part tolerances affect machining requirements and cost. Knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) Knowledge of material properties (machinability, weldability, heat treatment, corrosion resistance, etc). Requires proficiency in selection of materials and OEM components for functional requirement and adopt engineering principles and technologies during equipment/ machine constructions Requires experience of engineering change managements, analyze and trouble shoot to problems occurred.
