Duties will include database development as well as data integrations using the MS stack. ( https://www.maine.gov/dhhs/mecdc/phdata/MaineCHNA/) Support for the Maine Tracking Network ( https://data.mainepublichealth.gov/tracking/home) operated by the Maine CDC, it connects data and measures to the people that use them to improve public health in Maine, using a web-based data portal. Activities will include developing SQL stored procedures as well as integrations to support the data visualizations. The operational data needs of Maine CDC and its Childhood Lead Prevention Program will also be included. This work ranges from analyzing existing data systems and integrations to working to optimize them and when needed re-platform legacy systems/process. Maintenance of systems and processes is also required. This position will be tasked to developed data integrations, enhance automation of reporting and data collections. They will also work to ensure best practices and MS ALM process are used at both the database as well as application layer. They will liaison. with teams across MaineIT to ensure business goals and objectives are met while following governance and ensure policies and procedures are adhered to. Proven track record of hands-on technical design and code work within large complex systems. Proven hands-on technical work with a variety of technologies. Demonstrated technical expertise integrating a variety of diverse technical environments and cross-platform technologies. Proven experience mentoring and performing supervisory functions for technical teams. Ability to make best practice recommendations based on past work. Proven ability to present complex technical constructs to business and non-technical users.
