Technical Java Architect

Location: Auburn
Hills, MI, USA (Hybrid - Onsite 3 days per week)

Visa: USC, GC

Responsibilities: We
are seeking a Technical Architect to join our team. This position requires
onsite presence in Auburn Hills, MI, three days a week.

Duties and
Responsibilities:

Over 10 years
of experience in advanced technologies, with at least 5 years as a technical
architect.

Minimum of 7
years in development, including 3+ years leading development teams.

Expertise in
enterprise architecture concepts and methodologies.

In-depth
knowledge of information technologies (Web Application, Database, Container
Computing Platform, Infrastructure, Networks, Web & Integration software).

Broad
understanding of technologies and experience with implementation methodologies,
software development life cycle processes, and project management.

Excellent
planning, organization, project management, and time management skills,
particularly in delivery effort estimation and project scheduling.

Experience
with web application, web service, and mobile application architecture and
design.

Strong
background in API and data integration.

Extensive
experience designing architectural solutions for large, complex programs,
including representation in front of Architecture Review Boards (e.g., logical
& physical architectures, data classifications/protections).

Proven
experience leading large and complex development initiatives.

Demonstrated
technical leadership in application detailed design and development, including
applying proper design patterns, adhering to architecture and design
principles, documenting design, reviewing vendor designs, and supporting QA.

Experience
leading development teams through design-implementation, code review for
quality and security, and mentoring technical teams.

Expertise in
technical troubleshooting, including bug fix remediation and performance
tuning.

Ability to
integrate comprehensive security principles into all phases of design and
architecture.

Qualifications:

Required and
Desired Skills/Certifications:

Solid
experience with Spring Boot, Spring Framework, J2EE technologies, event-driven
architecture, microservices, distributed architecture, and design patterns.

Proficiency
in modeling architecture and design using frameworks such as C4 model, UML,
Archimate, and Arc42.

Strong
experience in designing and implementing RESTful APIs using Spring
Framework/Spring Boot and API Management.

Extensive
experience in architecting and designing modern business-facing and
consumer-facing web applications, including Single Page Applications using
responsive design concepts with Angular or React.

Solid
experience in cloud-based application design, development, and API-driven
systems integration.

Hands-on
experience with CI/CD tools (SVN/GitHub/Maven/Jenkins/JIRA).

Experience
with cloud-native application design and development using mainstream platforms
and technologies.

Hands-on
experience with cloud technologies including AWS, GCP, OpenShift, Kubernetes,
ELK, Kafka, etc.

Experience
with IBM Security Access Manager, IBM App Connect Enterprise, IBM WebSphere,
IBM API Connect, and DataPower.

In-depth
understanding of security architecture and design (Identity management,
Authentication and Authorization framework, SAML, OIDC/OAuth2, 2FA, mTLS,
secret and certificate management) with hands-on experience.

Hands-on
experience with Application Performance Management, Website Performance
Monitoring tools, and performance tuning.

Experience
with application usage analytics and dashboard reporting.

Good
knowledge of NoSQL concepts and products.

Understanding
and hands-on experience with GraphQL-based API development using Apollo or
similar products.

Hands-on
experience with implementing robust logging and tracing for end-to-end systems
traceability.

Hands-on
experience with code quality and coverage tools like SonarQube.

Willingness
to engage in hands-on code development with the development team for
troubleshooting, quick proof of concepts, and exploring new solutions and
products.

Education
Requirements:

Bachelor's
degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline is required.

A Masters
degree in a technical discipline is preferred.
