Tech Stack: Front end - React Fast API to create API backend hooks to the python code. Cloud deployment. Backend will be the heavier portion for this role. o Simple front end, but quite a bit of activity in backend to calculate everything. o Some front end design. But there is art on the mapping side to bring back data into the map. Key challenge - we have Geoprocessing code very important Google Run potentially Must be able to surge into GPUs as it needs it. Once on the cloud, needs to access GPUs in opportunistic basis. o Each line of sight is an independent because everything can be vectorized. If not strong in React but wonderful in everything else - they can rewrite the app. o Open to it but prefers React. o We have React and Tailwind. We have GitHub and will need to set up. In this task, having insight is important. These are large matrix with hundreds of millions of cells. Anything to keep fewer cycles of calculation. Searching methods experience (R-Tree) - if they dont know what to do - not good. Where are they pulling data from o Nearmap o In this project - core data in DSM (Digital Surface Model). o Photogrammetry o Marin County has footprint data and some data pulled from other sources. o Database portion is minimal. o DSM is its own data. Dont have a lot of stored data. We have some files created from DSM. Exp with Google Mapping and Leaflet o Front end mapping Helpful for someone who has intuition of geospatial thinking Having the knowledge of geospacing and viewshed is very helpful/needed o Mapping has tiling, displaying, instinct of geospacial or mapping. Need to be hardcore on Python Exp on PyTorch plus If someone loves Machine learning, might not be the best fit. Pytorch and GeoSpacial o Quite important that matrix processing is at the heart of this application. o Matrix processing implemented with PyTorch to benefit by putting on the GPU. Numpy (plus) Additional Notes Edu: BA/Masters - not a hard requirement but preferred. Need someone who has worked somewhere that was well run.
