This is an exciting opportunity for a seasoned Java Developer to be part of a team that is building a new Pricing Application from the ground up. Position Overview/Responsibilities for the Senior Java Developer: Work closely with technical leads, architects, and vendor partners to determine project scope and vision, set system goals, identify and resolve system issues. Partner with business analysts to refine business requirements into core system capabilities. Prototype new requirements for enhancing technical functionalities and information process flow. Develop and/or configure, build, review, and unit test software/solutions. Assist in QA efforts by providing input for test cases and supporting test case execution. Provide support to business users, including the design and development of training materials, and conducting training sessions. Mentor team members on new technologies in your area of expertise. Participate in 24x7 rotational technical support to solve business problems and document resolutions. Required Skills for Senior Java Developer: Minimum of 7 years of experience with Java and JEE development. Experience with one of the Java application servers (WebSphere, JBoss, WebLogic, etc.). Understanding of relational database concepts and E-Commerce development. Experience with multi-layer web applications for business and/or web service technologies. Proficiency in Unix/Linux. Familiarity with software development lifecycle (SDLC) methodology. Good understanding of development tools such as Ant, Maven, Eclipse, and JUnit. Knowledge of object-oriented programming. Experience implementing design patterns, especially model-view-controller, inversion of control, and dependency injection. Knowledge of Java web technologies and web and application servers. Familiarity with automated testing and debugging tools such as VisualVM, jmap, jstack, etc. Knowledge of version control systems.
