The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing storage systems to ensure data availability, scalability, and security. You will work with various storage technologies, including SAN, NAS, backup, and cloud-based storage solutions, to maintain the integrity and efficiency of the organization's data storage systems. Key Responsibilities: Storage Infrastructure Management: Design, implement, and manage enterprise-level storage solutions (SAN, NAS, DAS, cloud storage) to ensure high availability, reliability, and performance. Capacity Planning & Performance Monitoring: Monitor storage capacity, performance, and health metrics, ensuring systems meet the businesss data demands. Perform regular capacity forecasting and provide recommendations for future growth. Backup and Disaster Recovery: Manage backup solutions and ensure data protection policies are in place, including disaster recovery plans. Test and implement recovery strategies to minimize downtime. Data Security & Compliance: Ensure that data storage systems meet security standards and comply with industry regulations (such as GDPR, HIPAA, etc.). Implement encryption and access control policies for sensitive data. Troubleshooting & Problem Resolution: Diagnose and resolve storage-related issues, including performance bottlenecks, data corruption, and hardware failures. Work with vendors and internal teams to troubleshoot and resolve issues. Storage Virtualization & Cloud Integration: Implement and manage virtualized storage solutions, integrate cloud storage solutions (AWS, Azure, etc.), and ensure hybrid cloud environments function seamlessly. Documentation & Reporting: Create and maintain documentation for storage architecture, procedures, configurations, and disaster recovery plans. Provide regular reports on system health, performance, and storage usage. Collaboration: Work closely with other IT teams (e.g., network, systems, security) to ensure smooth integration of storage systems with other infrastructure components. Performance Tuning: Perform regular storage performance tuning, optimizing disk configurations, and adjusting storage parameters to meet application needs.
