Title: Senior Performance Tester Duration: 6+ months Location: Pittsburgh, Strongsville, Birmingham, Phoenix, Dallas (Hybrid - 3 days in office, 2 remote) MOI: Skype Years of Experience: 8+ years applicable experience required Function of the group: Risk Mitigation. Office of the CTO supporting all LOBs. We are responsible for performance testing and validation of application and infrastructure changes that are going to production. Current initiatives/project(s) that this resource will be impacting: Multiple LOBs supporting current and future application architecture. Initially in Retail space supporting the SSE and Edge areas (SalesForce) Industry background: Performance Testing and Engineering. The resource must have multiple years as a performance tester or performance engineer. Experience with HP Load Runner/Performance Center is highly desirable. Team dynamic: The candidate will be a team member of a COE. For the right candidate there is opportunity to quickly rise and run a subset of the team Roles and Responsibilities: Work with QA Analysts and Developers to ensure that all aspects of the system have proper testing coverage and overall system reliability, performance and quality. Analyze the testing needs and develop testing strategy and plans. Review and approve test plans, scenarios, scripts or procedures such as database impacts, software scenarios or usability. Ensure application documentation is complete and maintained/ updated in a timely fashion. Deliver effective and efficient testing solutions by meeting key project milestones and overall project deliverables on time, and adhering to development and quality standards Future May coach, lead and mentor other team members. Provide testing management for ongoing projects and future initiatives Technical Skills: (Min 6years in all the below skills) Apache JMeter - 6years Dynatrace- app monitoring (will take other tools) - 6years HP Performance Center- 6years Performance testing scripting, analysis and recommendations- Performance Center (will take other tools) - 6years Performance engineering background- 6years Jira (or others) - 6years Screening Questions: 1, Please share with us your level of experience with Loadrunner VUGen and Jmeter. Please list the protocols you are most comfortable with. 2, Please share with us your level of experience with Dynatrace by Splunk or similar. 3, Please share with us which performance related tools you have extensive tools experience beyond Loadrunner VUGen and JMeter. 4, Please share your performance testing or engineering experience with microservices pods and container platforms. 5, Please outline your experience of performance engineering functions (outside of scripting, execution and reviewing/communication the results. 6, If you have experience testing Salesforce, please outline your technical experience and challenges you have faced. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Summary: Responsible for writing programs to maintain and control computer systems software for operating systems, networked systems, and database systems. Responsible for creating the software platform, and then fine-tuning the final program after it has been made. Job Responsibilities: Consult with engineering staff to evaluate interface between hardware and software, develop specifications and performance requirements and resolve customer problems. Advise customer about, or perform, maintenance of software system. Develop and direct software system testing and validation procedures. Inform customers or other departments on project status, proposals and technical issues such as software system design and maintenance. Direct software programming and development of documentation. Skills: Verbal and written communication skills, problem solving skills, customer service and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and manage ones time. Knowledge of the full software development lifecycle: from business/systems analysis, through requirements gathering and functional specification authoring, to development, testing and delivery. Ability to troubleshoot issues and make system changes as needed to resolve issue.
