Role: Senior Data Analyst with Statistics, Economics Location: Candidate must be located in NY and be able to be in the office (at 380 W 33rd St, New York, NY) at least one day/week. (locals only) Duration 6-12 months, will extend Responsibilities: Sales Channel Support: Conduct in-depth analyses and investigations to understand sales trends, identify opportunities, and address challenges. This includes drill-down analysis, ad-hoc reporting, and proactive exploration of data to uncover actionable insights. Data Integration & Leverage: Identify opportunities to integrate and leverage data more effectively across the organization. Develop strategies to enhance data quality and generate deeper insights into the drivers of sales performance. Collaboration with Data Science/Engineering: Work closely with Meta Reality Labs' data science and engineering teams to communicate sales reporting needs, provide guidance on tooling requirements, and ensure alignment between data capabilities and business objectives. Rhythm of Business Reporting: Develop and maintain continuous reporting processes that provide a clear and comprehensive view of Reality Labs' business performance. Focus on agility and identify how business operations impact sales outcomes. Create impactful data visualizations to effectively communicate key metrics and trends to stakeholders. Insights to Action: Conduct ad hoc analyses to address specific business questions and challenges. Apply critical thinking and sales analytics expertise to develop data-driven recommendations for senior sales leaders. Propose adjustments to sales models to optimize operational plans and identify areas for efficiency improvement. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Business Analytics, Statistics, Economics, or a related field. 7+ years of experience in a business data analyst role, preferably within the retail, tech, or hard goods industries. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a proven ability to translate data into actionable insights. Proficiency in SQL and data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI). Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams. Experience working with large datasets and cloud-based data platforms. Preferred Qualifications in any of this: Experience in one or more of the following channels: 3rd Party Retail Telco Companies Direct to Consumer Business-to-Business Commercial Sales Familiarity with statistical modeling techniques. Experience with data storytelling and presentation skills.
