Comfortable in spending significant time in the labs and using and/or learning tools, presses, ovens. Knowledge and experience in product development processes and design control is preferred. Experience in developing and executing Design of Experiments and test methods; statistical tool usage strongly preferred Experience with polymer based manufacturing and/or device design preferred Interest/aptitude in robot programming desired. Previous experience with mechanical testing and/or laboratory test method development desired In-depth knowledge of design of medical devices. Ability to be a technical leader on multi-functional teams Must possess strong communication skills, written and verbal Ability to solve complex problems Need to Travel as per the requirement. Desirable Skills: 2+ in Years in Medical Device IndustryUnder (e.g. limited supervision, general direction, etc.) and in accordance with all applicable federal, state and local laws/regulations and Corporate Johnson & Johnson, procedures and guidelines, this position: Lead and or support early innovation / proof of concept development work. Develop 3D CAD models using Solidworks or similar CAD modelling platforms. With guidance from lead engineer, fabricate mechanical devices (silicone and non silicone), fixtures, and other prototypes in the R&D labs and or on the manufacturing floor. Help design, iterate and test prototypes. This includes documenting test results and communicating to the project team. Conduct research toward new product or process development or development toward improvement of existing products or process Apply knowledge of scientific and engineering principles to a broad range of assignments and contribute inventions, new designs, new processes and techniques to solve technical problems based on customer needs Extended responsibilities include programming custom robots and custom robotic spray booths.
