Role: Quality Engineer Location : Westlake, TX / Smithfield, RI (hybrid) Duration : Long Term Contract Pay : $45/hr. C2C max Okay with relocation. A PLUS if candidate has Banking/Financial Domain Experience. Must Have Skills: Proven 5-8 years of experience as a Quality Engineer (QE) or in a Data testing role with a focus on Power BI reports and dashboards. Experience with ICE Data Quality (DQ) tools and methodologies for testing and validating data accuracy and integrity along with ability to create and manage ICEDQ SQL artifacts for mapping and validating migrated data Strong knowledge and hands-on experience with Playwright for end-to-end automation testing. Understanding of testing Power BI report functionalities, including data accuracy, drill-throughs, interactivity, and visual components. Experience with SQL for data validation and querying data from data sources such as Snowflake. Business Domain knowledge that would be a huge plus: Banking, Financial Services , 401k, Benefits domain knowledge is a plus Job Spec: Job Overview: We are looking for a highly skilled Data Quality Engineer (QE) with expertise in Power BI reports testing, ICE Data Quality (DQ), and automation testing using Playwright. This role will involve ensuring the accuracy, functionality, and quality of Power BI reports and dashboards by validating data quality, performing end-to-end testing, and automating test cases. You will work closely with cross-functional teams including developers, business analysts, and data engineers to deliver high-quality reporting solutions to stakeholders. Key Responsibilities: Quality Assurance of Power BI Reports: o Design and execute comprehensive test plans and test cases to validate the functionality, data accuracy, and performance of Power BI reports and dashboards. o Ensure that Power BI reports and dashboards meet business requirements and provide meaningful, actionable insights. o Work closely with the development team to identify and fix defects or discrepancies in reports and data visualizations. Data Quality (DQ) Testing: o Use ICE Data Quality (DQ) tools to assess and monitor data integrity, completeness, consistency, and accuracy in the Power BI reports. o Create data quality rules and checks to ensure that the data in Snowflake or other data sources is accurate and consistent. o Investigate and troubleshoot data-related issues, working closely with data engineers and business analysts to resolve them. Automation Testing with Playwright: o Develop and maintain automated test scripts for validating Power BI reports and user interactions using Playwright. o Automate regression tests and perform end-to-end testing of Power BI reports to ensure functionality across various scenarios and datasets. o Conduct performance testing to ensure reports load efficiently and meet performance benchmarks.
