Position: System Administrator Location: Phoenix, AZ (Initially Remote for 6-9 months) Contract to Hire Key Responsibilities: Infrastructure and Application Management: Take ownership of and oversee the planning, deployment, and ongoing operational upkeep of ASRS' infrastructure and applications. Troubleshooting and Problem Resolution: Proactively monitor, identify, and resolve complex infrastructure and application issues to ensure system stability. DevOps/Automation: Promote team efficiencies and capabilities through improvements in DevOps practices and automation. Collaboration and Documentation: Work closely with IT teams and vendors, ensuring timely, accurate, and complete documentation and desk procedures for systems and team functions. Security and Vulnerability Management: Identify and remediate security vulnerabilities across ASRS systems and infrastructure. IT Service Management: Perform IT Service Management functions, including creating tickets, escalating incidents, troubleshooting, and documenting progress and outcomes. System Administration: Administer and manage multi-tiered COTS applications, public-cloud services, physical and virtual servers, mid-tier storage arrays, SAN, security appliances, Active Directory, group policies, and secure remote access/VDI. Additional Responsibilities: Incident, Problem, and Change Management: Adhere to established Incident, Problem, Configuration, and Change Management processes and controls. On-Site Requirements: This position is primarily remote; however, the candidate will be required to come into the office as needed, as well as for the first three days of employment. Qualifications: Required Skills: Thorough understanding of multi-tiered application architecture. Expertise in Microsoft Windows Server and client operating systems. Knowledge of Linux Server operating systems. Ability to automate operational tasks using Power or other automation platforms. Proven customer service skills with the ability to work effectively at all organizational levels. Strong organizational, problem-solving, and critical-thinking abilities. Ability to adapt to changing needs and work independently with minimal supervision. Experience in a 24x7, mission-critical enterprise environment (both public cloud and on-premises). Education and Experience: A Bachelors degree in Computer/Information Systems or a related field, or at least five years of experience as a server/network administrator in a medium-to-large enterprise. Certifications (Preferred but not required): Relevant industry certifications in AWS, Cisco, Microsoft, VMWare, or similar technologies. Additional Requirements: Background Check: A seven-year background check is required for this position. Employment Status: Temporary-to-Full-Time: The initial position is temporary, with the intention to transition to a full-time employee after 6-9 months.
